How it Works

The first step is to choose from our many ceramic pieces, including mugs, bowls, jugs, plates, pots, figures, and more. Once you have chosen your plain white bisque (unglazed pottery), you can pick from twenty different colour paints to create your own unique design.

We have lots of stencils, sponges, and other tools, and plenty of design ideas for that added inspiration! There are also aprons on hand for the inevitable messy moments, but don't worry - it all washes off.

We recommend following these simple steps for the best results:

1. Wipe your pottery with a damp sponge to remove any dust.
2. Use a pencil to draw a design outline if you need to - these come off in the kiln.
3. Paint three layers of paint to give an even, solid colour.
4. Dry paint between layers to prevent cracks appearing.
5. Always paint light colours first.

When your pottery masterpiece is complete, we will apply a glaze and fire it in our kiln, for you to collect your individual creation in a week's time.

Prices

Each pottery piece is priced individually from as little as £2.00 up to £30.00, depending on the size of the bisque that you decide on, plus a studio fee of £3.95.

Our studio fee covers all paints, glazing and firing, and you can paint as many items as you like under this single studio fee with no charge for supervising adults, or for those who just fancy popping in for a cup of tea!
